Abstract :
The National Science Foundation´s GENI and Future Internet Architecture (FIA) programs provide the basis for imagining incrementally deployable custom networks designed for specific applications and which incorporate new models of integrating computation and communication. In the GENI architecture, multiple service providers integrate into application specific networks via federation. In FIA new networking architectures show promise of improving the usability and security of next generation networks. This talk with describe how these programs are building the components of a new model for cloud computing.
