Abstract :
A simple method based on the partial element equivalent circuit theory (PEEC) has been established to estimate the inductance coefficients of short links (gold wire, ribbons connections and vias). Interconnection structures are decomposed into segments, which are themselves divided into elementary cylinders where uniform current is assumed. Analytical formulas suitable for circuit simulators are derived from the numerical results using the least square fit method. The results arising from the analytical formulas are in good agreement with experimental results.
