Abstract
The interpretation of rainfall and clear weather radio propagation data, the generation of short and long term statistics for radio systems design and factors which are shown to increase potential errors in the application of measured data are discussed. The application of models of attenuation and cross-polarisation due to rainfall, upper atmosphere ice, snow, combinations of these hydrometeors and radio refractive effects are addressed.
