  • Abstract
In order to increase the quality of cold rolled strip, on-line transverse bow measurement system for cold rolled strip was developed. In operating, the shape of transverse bow of strip was monitored by operator. Operator reset new intermesh values in the CPL control computer to correct the bad shape strip considering the monitored ship shape. All control parameters and work data for CPL were saved and analyzed by the developed signal-processing computer. We studied relationship between intermesh value for Tension Leveler that has roll configuration of 4 sets and the shape of strip. We derived new algorithm to correcting to the strip of bad shape. As we applied this algorithm in Tension Leveler, the generation rate of shape defect for cold rolled strip is decreased from 0.13% to 0.038%
