Abstract :
Based on an authoring system for the development of integrated simulation learning environments (SMISLE), a program has been developed to study transmission processes in linear systems. The basic phenomena "transmission", "superposition" and "reflection" are presented in an elementary form and are embedded within a set of assignments and explanation as support for discovery learning. As part of the project the validity and effectivity of these supportive measures are tested in a controlled experiment and the results are presented.
