  • Abstract
This work deals with the problem of fast measurements of the electrical quantities for application in power system protection and control. Fast measurement usually stays in opposite to the accuracy. From the practical point of view such measurements should be considered as the signal estimation in a dynamical process. The work presents a general approach to formulation of signal models used for fast estimation of the basic electrical quantities. Some practical algorithms based on discrete Fourier transform and state observer are presented.
