Abstract :
A program to simulate transmission processes with a transmission line has been developed, based on a solution of the telegraph equations in the time domain. All relevant line parameters are accessible for change. The program allows one to simulate and demonstrate a broad spectrum of situations and processes based on transmission, reflection and superpositions. This program could support an introductory course before consideration of the frequency domain with its rather high mathematical demands. Results from using this program with students are reported.
