Summary form only given. Fiber lasers are the latest generation of diode pumped solid state lasers. Due to their design they are compact, efficient and robust. Fiber lasers are available with highest beam qualities but the use of different core sizes of the process fibers enables the user to adapt the beam quality, focus size and Rayleigh length to the requirements of the application.
