Abstract :
This paper reports work performed by researchers of the Power Systems Engineering Research Center to develop “broad analysis” white papers on five issues central to enabling the future grid for sustainable energy systems. These issues are primary and secondary control for high renewable penetrations, standards associated with dynamics, environmental issues, transmission design at the national level, and distributed vs. centralized generation.
