Abstract :
Quality is defined as consistency of provision, and it is noted that this is not the consumer´s usual understanding of the word. A company´s ISO 9000 certification process gives a sense of involvement to junior staff, and this has good effects for customers. One of the principles of ISO 9000 is to aim to exceed customer expectations. The company should seek to understand customers´ needs. Customers are also concerned about the environment, and ISO 9000 is converging with ISO 14000, the environmental standard. ISO 9000 can be a means for putting in management systems which will not allow standards to slip
