Abstract :
The composite antibacterial agents were prepared with nano-hydroxyapatite containing polyvinyl alcohol, copper ions and zinc ions via the parcels and ion exchange respectively. The as-prepared antibacterial agents were characterized by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectrogram and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that PVA has been wrapped in the surface of hydroxyapatite, and copper and zinc ions had entered the structure of hydroxyapatite. The diameters of the antibacterial ring of Escherichia coli, Candida albicans, Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus could be up to 18.32 mm, 14.09 mm, 16.17 mm and 21.05 mm respectively, which reveal that the composites possess excellent and a broad-spectrum antibacterial property.
