Abstract :
During last years, theoretical studies have been led on chiral media, dealing with their physical properties (propagation, reflection, transmission polarization state... in chiral media), or with potential applications in microwave devices (lenses, chirowaveguides, antennas..). Now searchers need experimental support for both verifying theoretical results, and realizing chiral devices. In the present paper, a free space method is proposed to characterize chiral media, i.e to measure the three basic electromagnetic parameters ¿ (dielectric permittivity), ¿ (magnetic permeability) and k (chirality).
