Abstract
Harmful cracks in construction is quite complex, and it is hard to judge the real reasons and propose the remedial treatment. The expert system of concrete quality diagnosis can help the technician to make the decision fastly like the perienced expert. This paper described the expression of crack in knowledge base and the inference engine. It exampled the hamful crack occuring in the ChongYang reservoir bridge to explain the entire inference prosess. The prosess mainly used uncertainty reasoning method (reliability method) and the forward inference reasonning. The result from expert system and the analysis from experts is similar, so the model and inference strategy is valid.
