Abstract :
The SkyWAN system is a satellite based, fully meshed, TDMA network with bandwidth on demand, frame relay capabilities and local area networks connectivity for integrating computer networks and PBX-environments. SkyWAN provides the user with a high transmission capacity (up to 2 Mbps per station, up to 16 Mbps satellite network bandwidth for a fully meshed network) over a wide coverage area and is intended for a broad range of data, voice, fax and multimedia applications.
