Abstract :
This paper presents an adaptable software architecture for distributed real-time animation of 3D virtual actors. The animation system is divided into several modules that are running either on the server or on the client. This approach enables an individual configuration of the system according to the demands of the connection and the software and hardware performance of the involved computers
