Abstract :
To take full advantage of the ubiquitous Internet, a Web-based learning assistant for the design of a quarter-wavelength transmission line with Smith chart is presented. In developing the learning module, the concept of game-based learning is applied in order to increase students´ interest in electromagnetics and improve their learning effectiveness. Since students are the major users of the learning module, the module which is designed from the viewpoint of students is simple and easy to use. The developed learning helper is freely available for academics in Taiwan and is expected to achieve the goal of edutainment.
