Abstract :
Radio communication became possible, when Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose transmitted mm to cm waves in space, through walls, etc. in 1895, following Hertz´s demonstration of the reality of Maxwell´s epoch making discovery of electromagnetic waves. It was followed by the translantic communication at long wavelengths by Marconi.
