Abstract
The authors have found unexpected deviations from the independent electron assumption in strong field double ionization by close-to-circularly polarized laser pulses. Coincidence momentum data exhibit an intensity dependence that is not captured by the standard SDI model, as shown with the ratio of parallel to anti-parallel electron emission and in the second electron ionization time.
