Abstract
A homodyne network analyzer system is presented for simultanously measuring magnitude and phase of harmonics generated by a nonlinear device under large-signal excitation. The measurement system uses a high linearity SSB-modulator and operates in frequency-domain only. Measurement results for the fundamental frequency at 10.5 GHz and the next four harmonics generated by a Schottky-diode circuit are compared to a theoretical investigation and used for system calibration. The transmission response of a GaAs MESFET is also measured and results are given.
