Abstract :
Weibull distribution plays a very important role in reliability engineering. The parameter estimation of its three parameters is very difficult to solve. In this paper, we have briefly discussed this problem and proposed a new approach, i.e. the correlation coefficient optimization method based on the particle swarm optimization algorithm, and the feasibility and effectiveness of this method was demonstrated by two examples.
