Abstract :
The main goal of this work is the development of a calibration tool for friction gauges based on Surface Stress Sensitive Films. Good agreement between S3F measurements and a Pouaiselle model for fully developed channel flow demonstrates that channels can provide a good environment for calibration of friction gauges. This paper describes the experimental setup and the methodology for S3F data processing. The first non-steady S3F measurement results are presented and discussed.
