Abstract :
Diagnosis of actuator/component faults for time-delay systems by using adaptive observer techniques is investigated. First, a class of linear systems with time-varying time delays is considered. Under certain conditions, a stable adaptive observer for fault diagnosis is proposed. An extension to a class of nonlinear systems is then made. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
