Abstract :
In This work a brief description of the practical and scientific problems connected to research of meteoric phenomena is given. The capabilities of a passive radiolocation method, which make use of television and broadcast station signals, are considered. To provide maximum spatial coverage the antenna beam of broadcast station is directed horizontally. For research purposes this beam configuration is also the most effective, because some part of the energy, passing close to horizon, is getting reflected from meteor trails.
