Abstract :
Wall-rock alteration can guide the exploration, but the alteration information in remote sensing images is very weak, only can display after treatment of Enhanced process. This paper introduced an effective information extraction method based on the remote sensing image, also used ERDAS software for mathematical modeling. We choose Gejiu, Yunnan province of China, as the study area. In this area, the math modal which was built before has been applied on the multi-spectral sensing image ETM (Enhanced Thematic Mapper), based on the area´s typical spectral features. Finally we got the extraction of the mineralization information. The information can be very useful for further mineral prospecting.
