Abstract :
An effective optimization scheme based on improved implicit space mapping (ISM) algorithm is presented in this paper for the first time to design microstrip dual-band bandpass filters with high performance. The 2.45GHz/5.7GHz and 3.5 GHz/5.25GHz dual-band filters using folded open-loop ring resonators (OLRRs) are implemented with satisfying passband and stopband response. The overall size of the previous filter is 17mm×8mm, nearly one-third smaller than the literature result 26mm×8mm, and the capability is also better. The latter one is 18mm×8mm, both are applicable for miniaturization system.
