Abstract
Three kinds of direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation methods based on acoustic vector sensor (AVS) array are studied in this paper. The detection and DOA estimation performances are analyzed by computer simulation, and the results show that the AVS array cross-spectrum estimation method is better than the AVS array beamforming and the AVS array average acoustic intensity method, especially under low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and few sensors condition. The perfect performance of the AVS array cross-spectrum in detection and DOA estimation is obtained for suppressing the ambient noise better and improving the output SNR of the AVS array.
