Abstract :
This paper presents the design of a wavelet-like filter bank satisfying approximately a number of desired system properties for restoration of multi-level digital signals embedded in the additive white Gaussian noise. Compared with the traditional wavelet filter banks, the proposed wavelet-like filter bank is shown to provide better performance in terms of signal-to-noise ratio and visual quality
