Abstract :
We present broadband QCLs capable of continuous wave operation at room-temperature emitting gap free radiation in pulsed mode from 7.7 to 6 μm (1298 to 1651cm-1 ) and from 7.5 to 6.4 μm (1330 to 1570cm-1 ) in continuous wave mode. The inset of Fig. 1 shows continuous wave output power of a epitaxial side down mounted QCL with output powers of 160 mW at -12°C.
