Management of Virtual Infrastructures through OpenNaaS

Virtualisation of both IT and network resources is a well-known research topic in the Future Internet environment. Most of the work performed on virtualisation has been focused on virtual infrastructure planning or embedding, or on the realisation of the virtualisation itself. However, management of virtualised network environments has not been deeply included into the research studies. We present an example of management platform of virtual infrastructures built over the open-source framework OpenNaaS. In detail, our use case presents a management platform for the Logical Infrastructure Composition Layer software built within the EC GEYSERS project. This software is responsible for virtual infrastructure provisioning composing resources from different infrastructure providers.
