Abstract :
This paper presents a low loss Ka-band single pole double throw (SPDT) switch in suspended strip line (SSL) technology. The designed SPDT switch is a reflective PIN diode switch and employs shunt configuration. The measured insertion loss for the switch is less than 1 dB and isolation is better than 35 dB. The switch exhibits a 500 MHz bandwidth.
