Abstract
Finite-difference time-domain method (FDTD) is applied to analyze a planar microstrip circuit with complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) at the ground plane. This approach is an efficient tool to model complex microstrip circuit components having slots at the ground plane. The frequency dependent scattering parameters of microstrip line with CSRR are calculated from the time domain results. The results are compared with the results of IE3DTM and shown to be in good agreement.
