Abstract :
Agent possesses characteristics of autonomy, mobility and collaboration. In this paper, taking advantages of Agent, we construct the structure of intelligent traffic signal control system in urban arteries based on multi-agent technology. Utilizing the improved genetic algorithm, we optimize the signal timing schemes in intersections for the decision making of coordinated signal control in urban arteries. By experiments and traffic simulations in real intersections, the results show that the method in this paper can improve the effect and efficiency of traffic signal control in urban arteries.
