Abstract
This work reports Tellurium oxide EDWAs that exhibit net fiber to fiber gain fabricated using reactive RF magnetron co-sputtered Er doped TeO2 films. Rib waveguides were fabricated using standard lithography and Reactive Ion Etching (RIE) using a Hydrogen/Methane/Argon gas mix in a layer of pure TeO2 deposited on top of the Er doped film. The 5cm long single mode waveguides were pumped bi-directionally with two 1480nm pumps.
