Abstract :
One of the most ubiquitous feature of biological systems is that they generally output signals with long-range correlations. As Boolean networks has been successfully used to model a number of biomolecular systems. In this paper, we studied the long-range correlation behaviors of this model. Our results show that Boolean networks can undergo a regular transfer from Brownian noise to 1/ f process, and finally come to the regime of White noise. This provides a theoretical support that Boolean networks are appropriate for modeling genetic regulatory networks.
