Abstract :
This paper determines the domain of parameter selection to assure the convergence of the PSO algorithm by solving difference equations. Particle trajections are discussed under the opposite initial conditions which are the stable optimal point and unstable optimal point. In experiment, a wave function is structured to describe the particle trajection embraced the optimal point. So the particle trajections under different initial conditions are compared. The results indicate the exploitation and exploration is effected by the initial conditions.
