Abstract
The paper analyses the design and development of an elliptic shaped anamorphic GRIN lens where co-efficient of refractive indices are different in two orthogonal directions of the lens. Since the base glass for the lens is taken same, different coefficient is generated by taking asymmetric dimensions along x and y directions. Experimental results confirm the generation of asymmetric refractive index variation within the lens sample. Mathematical investigation is in progress.
