Abstract
This paper explores the structure, use, and value of Distributed Grid Management as a process and technology to support distributed grid optimization functions and microgrids to better integrate into the electrical grid small quantities of local, distributed power generated from renewable resources. The paper describes the value of distributed distribution management as it applies to Microgrids to support overall value in moving electricity generation toward a more sustainable model.
