Abstract :
This work employs logic modeling as a common language to integrate two independent information domains/spl minus/document management and hypertext. The concept of hypertext concerns information management and access. Hypertext can also be considered a knowledge representation that models the structure of the information system it serves. A hypertext engine would give the user flexible access to the information and commands of the underlying application, tailored to that application´s structure. This paper focuses on integrating hypertext functionalities into an intelligent personal document processing system called TEXPROS. We develop independent logic data models for hypertext and TEXPROS elements, and then present the logical representation of the bridge laws that map between them. We found logic modeling an invaluable tool in understanding our two domains and effecting their integration.<>
