    The relatively new popularity of small generators has caused some technical difficulties for the UK public electricity network. Some of the legislation pertaining to this issue is briefly discussed. The author then discusses some of the technical aspects including: connection to the network; fault levels and system impedance; voltage control; earthing; protection; and operational matters
