Abstract :
The waveform patterns of dipoles which radiate a pulse signal are investigated. The fidelity is defined as correlation coefficient between the waveform of radiated fields by the antennas and a reference signal. The waveform patterns and energy patterns of a longer and a shorter dipole driven by Gauss pulse are computed in the far zone and the near zone. The distributed and lumped resistance loading effects on the patterns of dipoles driven by pulse are investigated. The results have meaning for practical application of this kind of antennas.
