Abstract
In this paper the implementation of a novel measurement algorithm, for the fluid level measurement, is reported. Specifically the algorithm provides for the processing of a signal kept by an ultrasonic sensor, to allows measurement resolution and noise immunity to be improved. The paper also goes on to discuss hardware criteria adopted in the building-up of an on-line operating actual instrument, putting in evidence its performance. In addition, in the paper the results obtained during the on field test and application of the realized instrument are reported
