PQ benchmarking in the Era of the Smart Grid

This paper presents the need for improved PQ benchmarking in advance of the changes portended by the so-called Smart Grid as well as from new and changing loads. It also presents a summary of the key phenomena to be studied and a basic approach for summarizing these phenomena. Finally, it highlights current and voltage harmonics as a key area of interest due to field observations.
