Abstract :
This paper concerns a 3D line searching algorithm for the detection of dim moving and/or stationary point targets as registered in an image sequence. The algorithm has applications in a passive homing system. The representation of a 3D line is used in the derivation of the algorithm. The simulation results show the feasibility of the method for the detection of unresolved targets in the case of very low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR)
