Abstract :
This paper presents the assessment of the shielding effectiveness (SE) measurement conducted on a shielded box using the reverberation chamber and the GTEM cell. In GTEM test, the EUT is illuminated by a plane wave of a specific field with a specific polarization, while for reverberation chamber test, the field is randomly polarized and it can illuminate the EUT from all directions with statistically uniform and isotropic field without having to rotate the EUT. The intention of this paper is to understand the characteristic of SE measurement in the reverberation chamber and compare to GTEM cell measurement, since the test electromagnetic environment in the two measurement techniques are different.
