Abstract :
A novel wide-band monopole antenna with parasitic elements is proposed in this paper. This antenna is made up of a monopole antenna and two parasitic elements. Simulation and experiment result approve that this novel antenna realize wide band without losing any other good characteristics. From 780 MHz to 1670 MHz, the return loss is less than -10 dB, and it has omnidirectional radiation pattern in horizon plane, stable gain. Base on scaled principle, this kind of antenna could be used in medium wave communications.
