Abstract :
Handoff often may occur between micro/pico cells based on a wireless ATM. Handoff urgency should be considered to assign an idle channel to a handoff attempt whose received power from the current base station is closest to the handoff threshold. We propose a handoff priority scheme called “deadline scheduling queue” handoff in which the mobile speed in handoff urgency factors is considered
