Abstract :
The traditional satellite ground communication system is generally of parabolic antenna in most cases, but this kind of antenna has the disadvantages of poor flexibility and large volume; while microarray antenna has the shortcomings of large loss and small gain. In this paper, a novel waveguide horn antenna is designed. The radiation layer was is conductor with a octagonal hole in the center, the feeding layer is of double orthogonal Microstrip-feed plane to achieve bipolaron. The unit antenna size is only 21mm×21 mm ×2.2mm. Gain of 8×8 array was 26.7dB. The antenna array has a simple structure, small volume and high gain, particularly suitable for using as a satellite ground communications system antenna.
