Abstract
This paper deals with a triple frequencies monopole antenna design. The antenna is composed of three radiating elements, and fed by a microstrip line. Resonant frequencies of these elements are covered 2.4 GHz, 3.5 GHz, and 5.5 GHz, which are suited for both WLAN and WiMAX bands requirement. To reach this goal, a T-type resonator is adopted for one element, which emits 2.4 GHz, the other is with rectangular patch, gives the 3.5 GHz emission, and the third is constructed by a square ring resnator, governs the 5.5 GHz. Good performance of the antenna has been obtained in more compact in size. The design has been verified by fabricated samples. Experiment results are in good agreement with simulation.
