Abstract :
An UHF-band circularly polarized microstrip antenna with two Asymmetric Circular slots is designed. The square microstrip patch has a single-feed configuration and two Asymmetric Circular slots. The antenna can be adopted to achieve the relatively compact circularly polarized microstrip antenna. Two Asymmetric Circular slots with different sizes along the diagonal directions are notched in the square microstrip patch to reduce the size of the microstrip antenna, and to produce circularly polarized radiation at the same time. Unbalanced patch along the diagonal directions in slotted areas is the root cause of the circularly polarized radiation. The antenna has a 6.0MHz 3-dB axial-ratio bandwidth as well as 20MHz impedance bandwidth, covers the UHF-RFID band from 920.5MHz to 924.5MHz.
