Abstract
This study conducts an anthropometric research project on the 3D head and face shape of Chinese. It aims to create the first-ever digital data on the shapes, capturing vital statistics for design of products such as helmets and spectacles. Measurement data will be collected from the participants all over China, through 3D digital scanning machine of sample populations. The key technique is the extraction of characteristic point from the models and the algorithm to help patch the fragment and merge 3D models with CYBERWARE application more efficiently.
